Easy Going. Caramel Malt Forward. Award Winning.
The beer that started it all. This beer is a social, drinkable beer that’s easy to share with everyone. The aromatic malt that gives our Nut Brown Ale  its signature nut flavor. Select caramel malts provide sweetness, color, and depth of flavor.

Rhoades' Scholar Stout
6.3% ABV, 35.5 IBU

Chocolate. Dark Caramel. Approachable.
A smart, delicious brew. It’s everything a stout should be: rich, hearty, not thick or overpowering, and with a creamy head. Roasted barley combines with chocolate and crystal malts to create a wonderful flavor. Complements desserts well. Try one in place of a cup of coffee.

Northern Lights Ale
5.3% ABV, 10.8 IBU

Cream Ale with Herbs Added. Floral. Refreshing. Effervescent.
Ale with herbs added. As a  cream ale, Northern Lights combines the crisp and smooth features of a lager with the fruity and complex features of an ale. We’ve added oatmeal and white wheat for a round, smooth flavor and mouthfeel. There is a very slight hop presence. Additionally, we’ve introduced a blend of herbs into the finished product to enliven your senses with a unique, refreshing taste.

Cloud Machine Hazy IPA
6% ABV, 35 IBU

Hazy Orange IPA
South Shore’s first Hazy IPA. A beer that more resembles dark orange juice inside the glass. Overwhelming citrus with a subtle dankness are the first impressions on the nose, but soon give way to aromas of candied fruit. The light and fluffy body is accompanied by a silky smooth mouth feel created by loads of oats and an addition of lactose. While this beer will present itself as sweet expect a drier finish due to the heavy dry hopping. Just like with the aroma, citrus overtones are strong upfront, but lead into a unique mixture of passion fruit, pineapple, and guava flavors. There are also hints of pine that brings a subtle dankness reminiscent of west coast ipas. This one is all too easy to enjoy!

ISLAND HOPPER IPA
6.6% ABV, 46 IBU
175.8 CAL./12oz.     14.3 CARB/12oz.

Notes of Pineapple, Mango & Papaya.
This IPA is very transparent in its ingredients.  Featuring mainly our two row base malt and very little specialty malt this light colored IPA is all about the yeast and hops. A unique yeast strain ferments this ale at very warm temperatures, giving off flavors reminiscent of pineapple.  There is only one type of hop used in this IPA, that being Azacca. Named after the Haitian god of agriculture, these hops add tropical notes of mango and papaya.  Both these key ingredients led to this blonde IPA that reminds the brewers of a tropical fruit smoothie. Enjoy!

APOSTLE PUNCH JUICY PALE ALE
5.0% ABV,  15 IBUS

Tropical Fruits. Soft and Pillowy Mouthfeel.
South Shore continues to grow its family of hazy beers. A more subdued beer in terms of hops and alcohol in comparison to Cloud Machine. A hazy golden pour gives way to aromas of tropical fruits with a subtle dankness. A soft and pillowy mouthfeel makes this an easy drinker. Sweet fruit and citrus dominate the forefront with notes of pine and resin in the background. Light in bitterness and heavy on the hops makes this pale ale something you’ll keep coming back for.
