Join the Wilderness Inquiry for a tour of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore on a series of sea kayaking and hiking trips during the day and local brewery and winery tours in the evening. Adventure options include kayaking to beautiful Sand Island, the Mawikwe Sea Caves, Bark Bay Slough, or the shipwrecks of Red Cliff Bay. Stay at our Little Sand Bay Base Camp while you experience the best of the Bayfield Peninsula – its abundant nature and local spirits. You must be 21 years of age to register for this trip.

 "The State of Craft Beer" Vaughn Public Library Fundraiser
Friday, Dec. 1 | 6:00-8:30 PM @ Lumberjack Lounge | Free to the Public Ponzio Student Center Basement, Northland College Author Matt Janzen will speak about "State of Craft Beer" His book features highlights of his unique journey through Wisconsin. He has captured the people and places behind the state's extensive craft beer industry, including Bo Bélanger of the South Shore Brewery. Books will be available for purchase. Event is free to the public. Give a gift to the Vaughn Library or join/renew your membership to the Friends of the VPL and be eligible for a drawing to win a signed copy of Matt's book. Purchase tickets for hors d'oeuvres and a variety of craft beer samples from the South Shore Brewery. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the event. Call or stop by the Vaughn Library 715-682-7060 to pick up or reserve tickets. Proceeds will benefit the Vaughn Public Library. |
