“Meliora” in Latin translates to “better” or “best”. We modeled this beer after a traditional Flanders style red ale. Soured with lactobacillus then boiled to kill the bacteria. The beer is fermented with a clean, ale yeast and then aged in toasted oak to give it another dimension of character. In short, an American style red sour ale aged on oak.
A traditional German sour wheat ale. Using close to 50% wheat this beer is straw in color with a refreshing tartness and effervescent nose. The sourness in the Lilith is derived from lactic acid production from the introduction of two strains of lactobacillus. Flavored syrups can also be added to give this refreshing beer more depth and drinkability.
